What is an accredited investor?
Under SEC Rule 501, an accredited investor generally is a person who: earned income exceeding $200K (or $300K with a spouse) in each of the two most recent years; has a net worth over $1M (excluding primary residence); or holds certain professional certifications (Series 7, 65, or 82).
